Yesterday we referred to Fela Kuti he would have been 80 years old yesterday; today Nico (Christa Päffgen) would have turned 80 years old too. Let’s tribute her by a song from the first album of the Velvet Underground where she had a marked participation. Enjoy!


The Nigerian legend Fela Kuti, would have been 80 years-old today. Born Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti had many labels through his life: afrobeat creator, proficient writer, multi-instrumentalist, political activist, art provocateur, and so more. He died in 1997. Enjoy!

Today, 35 years ago, Jesús de la Rosa (lead singer of Triana) suffered a road accident in Burgos. Unfortunately he died a few hours later the next day that means the disbandment of the group.
