Today we are going to share the story of Claudine Longet (Paris, 29 Jan. 1942). She was a pop singer, but an actress too (she appeared in the film ‘The Party’ by Blake Edwards, where she sang ‘Nothing to Lose’ with music by Henri Mancini and lyrics by Don Black).
She was married to the american singer Andy Williams (1961-1975). She has maintained a private profile since 1977, following her conviction for negligent homicide in connection with te death of her boyfriend, former Olympic skier Vladimir ‘Spider’ Sabich.
The Rolling Stones related this story in their song ‘Claudine’, that was going to be included in their album ‘Some girls’ (1978), but finally was only released when the album was re-issued in 2011, although the song was already known due to the pirate records.
